HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER?

After opening the website 'www.helpandserve.in', you will get a home page with two options.

'Need Help' and 'want to Serve'. Click on either as per your choice and it will prompt you for registration. In Either case you can do both but this is only for records. Fill in the required information and give your email plus reference email. you can start asking questions straight away even before your registration is confirmed and authenticated.

Please say something about yourself in the profile for easy identification. After you sign in, you will be allotted a HNS number which will remain permanent on this website. 

In case of difficulty in Signing in , pleasae send mail to - info@helpandserve.in. You will be sent an Invite. 

HOW CAN I USE THE WEBSITE?

The primary aim to connect people who need real help and who are ready to serve, not just exchange of information. Physical tasks in the same or different city.

Since we can’t move around much and our near and dear ones are held in various cities all over the world. For example, a person living in Delhi can request for helping his mother in Secunderabad for medicines and grocery. Similarly, somebody who has his daughter stuck in some other city can request for some help. Everything is purely voluntary, keeping in mind the spirit of the Armed forces network. There are no charges for using this website.

Method: Anyone seeking HELP can post the basic information on the wall stating the kind of help and the city in which it is required. Take care not to post all information about your address phone etc. Any volunteer willing to SERVE can then post his willingness. Thereafter, they can mutually connect and share information after authentication through this website. There is a provision to chat through this website.

You can also search the members in different cities and send a direct message for requesting a help.

Once your task is done you may post the result on the wall and click on ‘Accept’ to close the Conversation.

On top Center of Screen you have Notifications, Messages and Invite User.

But no Commercial Activities  etc. It is a free service with a pure intent of helping each other.

IF I REGISTER TO SERVE CAN I SEEK HELP ALSO?

Yes, both the roles are interchangeable. Only difference is that as a volunteer to Serve, you will get messages when the topics you have chosen has a query. The messages can be switched ON/ OFF as and when required. You can still read it on the wall.

ONCE SOMEBODY HAS VOLUNTEERED TO HELP ME, HOW DO I INTERACT ONE ON ONE?

There is a provision to chat. There is a box ‘Reply’. You may click on that and send a message to person concerned.

Also, on the bottom right of every query and answer we have the name and photo of contact. . You can click on that and go to the contact page and send a message directly.

CAN I SEE ALL OTHER MEMBERS?

Yes, click on ‘Members’ on the top bar. It will show the list of members. You may contact any member from here by sending a message in the box provided.

HOW CAN I CHECK TO SEE IF ANY BALANCE OF HELP IS PENDING ?

For this, a  new ‘Monitoring’ has been added on the Menu bar. This will help all of us to see the pending cases and reply accordingly.

Once you click on this, you are taken to a new page, where you can see an excel sheet of all requests made by various people. It shows Serial Number, Docket Number, date, Place, Name of Person, Help required, Status and Give Reply. Each request has been given a DOCKET Number which will remain permanent for future reference. The boxes below the Heading give an option to filter the date, Place Name etc and also status whether accepted, not accepted or No replies. We can also give reply either by clicking on the ‘Give Reply’ or directly by clicking on the name of person. Here, we also have an option of sending mail to that person.  

The members can click on 'Accept' or 'Not accepted' depending upon their satifaction. The Colour of background on the monitoting sheet  cahnges accordingly. Green for 'Accept' , white for 'Not accept' and  red for ' No Replies'.  

CAN I USE ON MOBILE

Yes, it can be easily used on mobiles also without down loading any separate App. . Go to website ‘www.helpandserve.in’ on your mobile and login. You will see three dots on top right of screen. click on that and a menu will pop up. In that click on ‘Add to Home screen’. Then it will ask for  a name. Type ‘ HNS’ and ADD. It will  come on your mobile screen and you can now use it easily as shortcut.

In the mobile version of Help and serve , there are three bars on top right of screen. Click on that for Menu- Home, About us, Contact Us, Important Links, Members, Notice, FAQs, Donate, Monitoring, Quotes, My Profile, Account Settings and log Out.

On top left , the three bars will take you to Messages received by you directly.

For seeing the Monitoring, Please turn your mobile in Landscape Mode. The entire Monitoring sheet will be seen.
